Southlake, TX – Southlake Equity Group announced that David A. Spuria recently joined the middle market private equity firm as Partner and General Counsel.  Mr. Spuria was formerly the General Counsel of Fort Worth-based TPG Capital, one of the world’s largest private equity firms.

Prior to that he was the General Counsel of Capital Z Partners, a New York-based investment firm. Prior to Capital Z, he was a Partner in the Corporate/M&A Group at Weil, Gotshal and Manges.

At Southlake, David will contribute to deal sourcing and be responsible, deal structuring and documentation, fund formation and administration, and portfolio company legal oversight.
